Cottage Information
Absolutely no illegal drugs or marijuana (yes, even though marijuana is legal in California. Its our preference for the property).
Beer, wine, and liquor are OK, just don't let things get out of control.
No smoking or vaping in the house or on the decks. Smoking only on the gravel driveway at least 10 feet from the house. Please use a container for your ashes, and be sure to dispose of the butts properly.
Be mindful, fire is always a danger in the woods.
The cottage is "all electric". No propane or gas utilities at all. If power goes out, all the appliances will be out, too. Before going up in the summer, check with PG&E for any PSPS.
The land-line phone will still work during a power outage, if needed.

Bedrooms -
Both have standard king sized beds.
Sheets, pillows and pillowcases, and blankets are provided.
Bedroom #1 has a ceiling fan.
Extra blankets. Feel free to take blankets out on the deck if the morning or evening is chilly.
Upstairs Bathroom -
Towels are provided. There's about 8 sets of towels for use, in cupboard over the toilet, and in bottom drawer in the bedroom.
Bring your favorite shampoo and soap. If you forget there are a few hotel sized items you can use, and you can also use whatever is in the shower, if you'd like. It's up to you. We're happy to share.
Prescription medications in the medicine cabinet are personal items. Please don't use those. Help yourself to general items, like Tylenol or band-aids or Alka-Seltzer, etc.
The toilets are on a septic system. Please flush only the TP provided.
Radiant floor heating! This means the floor tiles get warm, and keep the bathroom toasty. During cold weather, set the thermostat in the bathroom to 75-80 degrees. You will have a warm bathroom for those cool mornings, and a warm floor for cold feet!
Downstairs -
The futon can be used as a bed, if needed.
There are also two twin-sized inflatable mattresses available. The mattresses and air pump are in one of the alcoves. You'll want to bring a sleeping bag or other type of bedding for the futon or the inflatables. We don't have bedding for them.
Full bath w/shower. NOTE: The toilet and sink are on a macerating sump pump. Do not flush the toilet or use the sink if the power is off. Do not put anything other than simple toilet paper in the toilet. If power is off, use the upstairs bathroom. If the toilet accidently gets used while the power is off, simply leave it until the power returns.
Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime, and Paramount services available. DVD player.
Full sized washer and dryer. Laundry soap and dryer sheets.
Radiant floor heating in the main room, great for cold weather! Set the in room thermostat to around 68 to 70 degrees, and in several hours the room will be quite comfortable. This also helps to heat the upstairs a tiny bit, since heat rises.
Outside -
Plenty of parking for three or four cars.
Electrical outlet on the outside of the house, on the main deck by the front door.
Water spigots with extra hoses in the shed, if needed.
At least 6 outdoor chairs in the shed, for use on the deck. Feel free to bring your favorite camp chair.
Patio table for 6 on the main deck. Kitchen chairs can be used outside.
